Psyche files — 5 files that define your agent

An agent bundle is the portable self. The psyche is the part of that self that helps the agent stay oriented to who it is and where it is going.

The bundle is the portable boundary of the agent's self — psyche, diary, journal, habits, friends, tasks, and skills. The exact files can evolve, but the job stays the same: keep identity, direction, and long-term context somewhere the agent can recover cleanly.

Ask your agent
Inspect the agent bundle I am using right now. Tell me what lives there, which files shape your identity, what's in the diary and journal, what habits are set up, and what looks currently active.

Your agent reads its own bundle and explains what it finds — no stale docs needed.

What to ask next

  • Which psyche files matter most for the behavior I want?
  • What in this bundle looks stale or contradictory?
  • What habits does my agent have, and what rhythms should I add?
  • How should my agent update its own direction without losing continuity?
